Written in Italy, probably in the northeast, in a stylized round gothic bookhand, and decorated with one miniature illustrating a kneeling patron before the Virgin and Child (f. 3r), one historiated initial (f. 3r), painted coat of arms (with a papal tiara) of the Colonna family, flanked by two unidentified coats of arms (f. 3r), and three decorated initials.
