Binding: Modern, paper with leather straps. The manuscript was rebound by P. Verhegen on 8/2/1994. The previous binding has not been preserved; Calkins states that it consisted of 18th-century vellum, stamped with the initials "W.D.B." and the date "1701". It would therefore share the same provenance as Misc. Bd. Ms. 2 (Quinque Platonicae sapientiae claves / Marsilio Ficino), which bears the...

Origin: Fols. 1-90 were written in Fabriano, Italy by a certain William who belonged to the same religious order as James of Viterbo (Ordo Eremitarum Sancti Augustini), 14th century (see fol. 90v). The scripts contained in fols. 91-121 are not typically Italian, and it is not known when the two manuscripts were first bound together.
