The trial (for murder) is mentioned by L. Pastor in his Geschichte der Päpste (11th ed., p. 619-620) where he refers to an Italian pamphlet on the execution. Biondo's text came out in several English and French editions, but neither the British Museum nor the Bibliothèque nationale (Paris) lists an Italian printed edition (Zacour-Hirsch).
