    Collation: Parchment, fol. ii (paper and vellum) + 70 + ii (paper) ; 1-710 ; vertical catchwords in lower right corner, final verso of each quire. Contemporary Roman numerals in red ink, upper right corner of each recto, begins with "I" on fol. 2, so reaches LXIX instead of LXX.

    Binding: 19th-century red velvet over pasteboards, paper pastedowns and endleaves, title gilt on leather spine-label, "VEGETIUS/DE RE/ MILITARI/ M.S. IN/ MEMBRANIS," all edges gilt. Housed in a tan cloth clamshell box.
