Catchwords written horizontally across the inner bounding line, often in a red-touched frame; quire and leaf signatures consist of letters and roman numerals. The first quire, lettered "a," is missing. Quires 5-8 use a double system, the quire being shown...

Decoration: Initials, 2-line in blue with red penwork; alternating red and blue paragraph marks; red used for slashed initials within the text, underlining, and framing marginalia. Descenders of the bottom line usually extended with flourishes. Marginalia, as text-finders, in the hand of the scribe; manicules sometimes decorated in red (e.g. ff. 132v, 138).
