    Origin: Possibly from a Franciscan monastic house in Pisa, due to Franciscan hymns copied at end of book in a later hand. De Ricci suggests Germany. Watermarks indicate a Northern Italian origin for the paper and a mid- to late-14th century date of manufacture. Possible date give in top outer corner of fol. 227r in second scribe's hand: "1396."
