The text is possibly a work titled Assam Buranji, which was originally composed by Kashinath Tamuli-Phukan in 1835. Early 19th-century inscription in English, possibly by Nathan Brown, reads: "Tamuli Phukan's Buronji. This is a History of the Ahom Kings from Sukappa -- who first invaded Asam down to the time of the East India Company."
