Physical description: 11 lines per page, in two columns; written in nastaʻliq in black on tan glazed, laid Arabic paper with visible fibers. Text and columns framed in black and gold; catchwords. Fol. 7, 21, 26, 32, 33, 35, 38, 40, 41, 44, 46, 53, 72 are replacements. Extensive staining, some smudging. Leaves very loose due to detached spine.

Decoration: Illuminated ʻunwān on fol. 1b, mainly in blue and gold, in delicate floral pattern, partially worn away. Title in central gold diamond in white. Chapter headings and blank spaces illuminated with gold, blue, and red foliar patterns. Includes five miniatures.
