Written in brownish ink in three columns of constant width, the biblical text in the central column with the gloss (by Anselm of Laon) in smaller writing in the outside columns and between the lines of the biblical text. The biblical text is written in a rounded Italian 12th-century minuscule; the gloss in a more compressed and less rounded script.

F. 1v contains a large initial B in brushed gold and colors with white-vine decoration. Major divisions of the Psalms begin with similar smaller initials. Minor initials are orange-red uncials.
