Single leaf with historiated initial "F", 44.5 mm x 38.1 mm, in burnished gold and color on a diaper background. Written on thin vellum, 2 columns, 46 lines, in gothic lettering to the full page, with elongated leafy tendrils. Produced in Paris circa 1300; cut from a Bible possibly made for St. Albans Abbey.
