Apparently the author's autograph. The dedication is dated "Verona 23 Novembre 1600" (but the reading "1600" is uncertain), and signed "Lodovico Della Chiesa Segretario". The initials "L.D.C.S." (?) also appear at the bottom of f. 77.

Written in a script with calligraphic touches, on the rectos of each leaf only. On f. 1 the title appears within rectangular borders colored brown, red, and green, incorporating pen-flourishes. Similar flourishes appear at the foot of each page. Cf. MS Ital 142.
