Ḥājjī Khalīfah, Kashf al-ẓunūn (1835-58), II, p. 572 states that the author completed the composition of his work in Adrianople, 854 1450/1 and dedicated it to the Sultan the Conqueror, Muḥammad II, who reigned 855-886 1451-1481.
