Written in a gothic rotunda book hand in brownish ink in two columns. There are 7 historiated initials, 1 foliate border (f. 1v) with 5 portraits (a sixth one is cut out), and illuminated initials and foliate borders throughout.

The original ms. belonged to the Rolls family, later Barons Llangattock (their sale, Christies, 8 Dec. 1958, lot 190 (wrongly called a Missal)). It was broken up shortly thereafter by Goodspeed.
