Physical description: 15 lines per page, in 1-2 columns; written in shikastah in black on heavy, glazed, laid Arabic paper. Text and columns framed in black and gold; catchwords. First and last leaves stiffened with extra paper. Light staining and smudging; a few folios detached. Slight insect damage in inner margin towards end of ms. In excellent condition.

Decoration: Illuminated full-page dedication on fol. ib, mainly in blue and gold, in a delicate floral pattern. The dedication is written in white within a gold circle decorated with light blue arabesque, and reads as follows: "Bism khizānat al-sulṭān al-aḥṭam mālik riqāb al-umam ẓill Allāh fī al-arḍayn qahramān al-māʾ wa-al-ṭīn ʻaḍud al-salṭanah [...]."
