    Script: Written in a gothic bookhand in black ink with red rubrics.

    Mounted to a sheet of paper with the no. 38 in a dealer's hand, probably the leaf's number in the dealer's portfolio. Same dealer's handwritten description on the upper half of the sheet reads "Rhenish school (? Dutch): first half, 15th century/ Initial "A", showing The Visitation." Housed in a wrap-around folder in an oversize manilla folder.
