    This manuscript was at a Genoan monastery at Quarto in the late 14th century. Inscription at foot of 1r: "Iste liber est monasterii Sancte Ieronimi de Quarto. Reperie[t] Ieniensis (?) ordinis Sancte Marie Montis Oliveti." Last page has a prayer for the priest before saying mass. Dialogue between Pope Gregory and his Deacon Peter, concerning remarkable events in the history of the Church, each narrative introduced by red caption, such as: "De martyris monacho valerie puniciae." Each remark is preceded by two capitals: initial of speaker, and first word of sentence, in green and/or red.
