Seal still attached: ball-shaped and made of red wax (30 mm diameter), pendant on parchment tag (170 mm) bearing a device (1.5 mm diameter): a winged heart. Written in an English secretary script (cursiva libraria), now badly abraded and illegible in many places. First initial "T" enlarged and flourished. Document is folded five times...

Four inscriptions on the dorse: two in an English secretary hand similar to the main text and two in a later cursive hand; the name Elizabeth Ladd is mentioned along with the names Edward Nordey [sp?] and Godfrey Pyard [sp?].
