The book was apparently copied for Richard Dod (possibly the barber surgeon of London mentioned by C. H. Talbot, Medicine in Medieval England, London 1967, p. 187) whose name appears in the first rubric. The scribe was John Vynt, a ward and clerk for Richard Dod. On f. 60v, s. XV/XVI, "Richard Minne Pretium 5 s." Sold by John Denley, a London bookdealer, to Sir Thomas Phillipps in 1826...
