Binding: Modern. Repaired? by John P. Gray & Son Ltd. of Cambridge: binder's ink stamp in the lower left corner of the back pastedown. Quarter binding in brown leather over paper boards. Blind- and gold-tooling on spine. Three raised bands. Wear and tear on all edges as well as the spine. Damaged rectangular paper label adhered to the tail of spine.

In good condition despite bookworm damage throughout, especially near center-folds. Water damage (with no loss of text) on the lower part of the manuscript, especially worse in quires 17 to 19. The center-folds are supported by approximately 8 mm parchment or paper strips, some of which are repurposed, that are adhered to the innermost leaves of each gathering. Early history of the manuscript is unknown. In the early nineteenth century, the manuscript was first in the possession of Carlo Salvi and later in that of Luigi Celotti.
