Decoration: 2- to 3-line initials in alternating red and blue with penwork in the opposite color at the beginning of each chapter; chapter numbers in Roman numerals preceded with a pilcrow in red and blue; running titles in red and blue in upper margins (MA / TE to indicate Matthew). The blue (or, silver?) is almost completely faded in all of the leaves, now visible to the naked eye as pale gray.

In moderate condition despite wear and tear due to previous use as part of a binding of another book. All leaves are soiled and damaged with holes and tears, with loss of text. The outer edges and corners of folios 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 are cut off in different shapes.
