Origin: First text completed on Monday 29 Rabīʻ al-Ākhirah 855 [May 31, 1451] by Yūsuf Ibn Yūsuf Ibn Muḥammad Ibn [--] Ibn Yaʻqūb al-Shāfiʻī al-Ṣafadī, living in Damascus (colophon, fol. 89b). Partly wanting collation statement on the margin of the colophon, stating that the copy was collated on a copy bearing the handwriting of the author.
