Fols. 1-72 are numbered (in medieval Arabic numerals) to correspond with the quodlibetal question that appears on that folio; many of these numerals, which appear in the upper right corner of the recto side, have been mutilated by trimming. The absence of such numeration from fols. 73-90 may be due to trimming.

Origin: Fols. 1-90 were written in Fabriano, Italy by a certain William who belonged to the same religious order as James of Viterbo (Ordo Eremitarum Sancti Augustini), 14th century (see fol. 90v). The scripts contained in fols. 91-121 are not typically Italian, and it is not known when the two manuscripts were first bound together.
