The manuscript comes from the renowned Tresham Brudenell Library at Deene Park, England and very likely was part of the collection of Sir Thomas Tresham. It was purchased by Bernard M. Rosenthal at the 1967 Sotheby's auction. Possible bookseller marks in pencil on the inside of the front cover, perhaps by different hands: "XVI.a.19," "D.6.12" and "526."
