Physical description: 13 lines per page; written in nastaʻliq in black on cream glazed, laid Arabic paper with chain lines in groups of three. On leaf 1b, small, delicately illuminated ʻunwān in gold and color, in good condition; on leaves 1b-2a, text framed in gold and set within clouds on light gold ground. Rubrication and catchwords. Some staining, particularly toward end of manuscript...

Several stamps and notes on leaf 1a: two notes by Ahmad ibn Muʾmin al-Anṭākī, dated 1090 H [1679 or 1680]; stamp of Sayyid Muḥammad; three other stamps which are somewhat blurred. On leaf 99b, note dated 974 H [1566 or 1577]. Acquired by Robert Garrett from Brill, 1925, from the books of Murād Bey al-Bārūdī (Beirut).
