Parchment, single leaf from a medieval manuscript pocket Bible. Written in gothic micro-minuscule script, ruled in gray and hand-written in black ink in two columns of 43 lines on vellum.

Decoration: One hand illuminated Lombard style initial, 23 lines long, of John on verso. His symbol, the eagle, is evident at the bottom of the miniature. Large initial "H" on recto in blue and rust with white tracery, 38 lines long.
