Decoration: On fol. 1 at top the divine monogram flanked by putti above the historiated and illuminated letter D containing portraits of the seated queen Juana and her son Charles V (Ist of Spain); in left margin is the royal coat of arms and in lower margin flanked by angels, that (presumably) of the litigant. On fol. 22 a historiated 10-line initial H showa 3 officials seated above the gilt...

Binding: Single gathering, stiched through fold, through which also is drawn the original seal cord of yellow, white, red, and green silk (broken with lead seal missing), augmented with later braided hemp cord which holds gathering into later semi-limp vellum covers with hemp fore-edge ties. Upper corners of most leaves chewed or burned away, not affecting text.
