Other Decoration: Genesis initial I the length of the text and almost the width of the first column in gold strapwork on white vine stem with a bust of Moses holding the tablets of the Law; on the same page, full border of white vine stem with birds, dragonflies, putti and a coat of arms. Similar opening page to the New Testament, somewhat rubbed. Similar initials for the books and prologues...

Signed and dated 14 times, with dates between 1452 and 1453, by Niccolò Berti Martini de' Gentiluzi (approximately 1388-1468) often with a motto (cf. f. 91, "Nichil inpossibile est amori"), and twice with the motto alone.
