Unknown early and intermediate provenance. Owned by Sir Thomas Phillipps, perhaps purchased from Thomas Rodd II. Sold from the Phillipps collection in 1896. Bernard Quaritch put it up for sale in 1902. Purchased from Quaritch by Robert Garrett on 1 October 1905. Garrett deposited the manuscript in the Princeton University Library in February 1906 (deposit no. 1397). His gift to the Library, 1942.
