Origin: Stylistically, the illuminations are closely similar to those in the Gladzor Gospels (created 1300-1307), which were painted in two locations: the scriptorium of Elegis or Noravankʻ and the monastery of Gladzor. However, this style is also present in manuscripts produced at other locations.
