    Origin: Written in Germany, possibly Bamberg, in the third quarter of the fifteenth century, certainly after 1455 (the canonization of Vincent Ferrer).

    Provenance: In addition to Vincent Ferrer, the calendar includes typical Dominican feastdays in red such as Thomas Aquinas (7 March and his Translation on 28 January), Peter Martyr (29 April and Translation on 7 May), and Dominic (5 August and Translation on 24 May). Bamberg use is suggested by the inclusion of Emperor Henry (12 July, in red). Sold at Sotheby's London on 28 July 1902, lot 96...
