Binding: Half blind-tooled pigskin over oblong pasteboard covered in parchment manuscript leaves, the whole brown-stained. Brass clasps with leather straps, nails and impressions in cover are evidence of now missing corner and center hardware. Signatures loose in binding.

Origin: Written in Germany in the 16th century.

Provenance: Vernacular (German) text on fol. 75r-76v in a second hand suggests German origin. With inscription of former owner: "Jacobus Suter jure me possidet" a possible date (or shelfmark) of 1577, a quotation "Firmissime opes amor" possibly of Juan Luis Vives (d. 1540)
