The manuscript was in Italy by the mid-fifteenth century, when the additions and corrections were made. Seventeenth-century inscription on original second flyleaf (preserved with the old binding) reads "Jo. De Monte - vel Dominicus Leo Venutus et aliqui putant. / De Laudibus Mariae. Cod. Memb. Saec.
